Need to make an extra $350 this week?
Whether you have a bill coming up, want to pad your bank account, or just need some extra spending money, $350 is a realistic target if you’re willing to put in some work.
The key is not relying on one method. Instead, combine a few of these ideas. Make $50 selling stuff, $75 from a gig app, $50 from reward apps, and so on.
Here are some ways to make $350 extra this week.
1. Use Reward Apps
Reward apps can be an easy way to make some extra money from your phone.
Most pay you for things like taking surveys, playing games, completing offers, or trying different products and services.
Some options worth checking out include:
- EarnStar App: Earn rewards from surveys and other offers, like playing fun mobile games and downloading different apps.
- Freecash: Complete surveys, games, app offers, and other online tasks.
- Scrambly: Earn money from games, surveys, and various offers.
- Branded Surveys: Take surveys and redeem your points for rewards.
- Kashkick: Get paid for surveys and other online activities like playing games.
Don’t expect to make $350 from surveys alone. That’s probably not realistic.
But if you combine several apps and focus on higher-paying offers, you could potentially knock out a chunk of your $350 goal.
2. Make Money With Gig Apps
If you have a car, bike, or even just some spare time, gig apps can help you turn your free time into cash.
Some apps to look into include:
- Uber Eats: Deliver food and get paid for completed deliveries.
- DoorDash: Another popular food delivery platform.
- Sharetown: Get paid for helping with tasks related to returns, pickups, and other local services.
- Oppizi: Get paid for handing out flyers and completing local marketing gigs.
The nice thing about gig work is that you can often work when you want.
If you have several free evenings this week, you could use them to pick up extra shifts and work toward your $350 target.
3. Try Cash Advance Apps
If you need money immediately, cash advance apps are another option.
For example, EarnIn and Klover allow eligible users to access some of their earned wages before payday.
Just remember that this isn’t really “making” extra money. You’re accessing money earlier than you otherwise would.
So I’d treat cash advance apps as a short-term emergency tool rather than a way to increase your income.
4. Sell Your Unused Stuff
This is one of my favorite ways to make money quickly because you probably already have everything you need.
Look around your home for things you don’t use anymore. This could include:
- Old electronics.
- Furniture.
- Clothes.
- Kitchen appliances.
- Sports equipment.
- Collectibles.
- Tools.
You might be surprised how much money is sitting around your house.
List your items on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, eBay, or another local marketplace.
And if you want to sell quickly, price your items reasonably. Making $200 today from five things you don’t use anymore is probably more useful than trying to squeeze another $20 out of a side hustle.
5. Donate Plasma
If you’re eligible to donate plasma, this can be another way to make some extra cash.
Plasma donation centers compensate donors, although the amount varies depending on the company, location, promotions, and whether you’re a new donor.
There can also be eligibility requirements and limits on how frequently you can donate.
So check the rules at a local donation center before counting this toward your $350 goal.
6. Look For Craigslist Cash Gigs
Don’t overlook Craigslist. The “Gigs” section can have all sorts of short-term opportunities from people who need help immediately.
You might find jobs involving:
- Moving
- Yard work
- Cleaning
- Furniture assembly
- Event help
- General labor
- Delivery
- Handyman work
Some people need help for just a few hours.
That can be perfect if your goal is simply to make some extra cash this week.
Just be careful with Craigslist gigs. Never send money to someone to get a job, and use common sense when meeting strangers.
7. Try Flipping Furniture
If you’re handy, furniture flipping can be an interesting way to make extra money.
Look for cheap or free furniture on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, or local giveaway groups.
Then clean it up, make simple repairs, paint or refinish it if necessary, and relist it for more.
For example, you might find a beat-up dresser for free, spend $30 on supplies, and eventually sell it for $100 or $150.
You don’t need a huge operation. One or two profitable flips can make a meaningful dent in your $350 goal.
8. Look For Temp Work
Temp work is another option if you’re willing to work a few longer shifts.
There are apps that connect workers with businesses that need short-term help.
A few worth checking out include:
- Wonolo
- Instawork
- Shiftsmart
- Bluecrew
Depending on your location, you may find shifts involving warehouses, retail, events, hospitality, customer service, and general labor.
The advantage is that you’re not necessarily committing to a permanent second job. You can pick up available shifts when you have the time.
9. Try Bonus Churning
Here’s a more advanced strategy: churning bank account bonuses.
Banks sometimes offer cash bonuses to new customers who open a qualifying checking or savings account and meet certain requirements.
For example, a bank might require you to set up direct deposit or maintain a certain balance for a specific period.
The bonuses can sometimes be worth hundreds of dollars.
But there’s a catch…Read the terms carefully.
You need to understand minimum deposits, direct deposit requirements, monthly fees, account closing rules, and how long you need to keep the account open.
And don’t open accounts you don’t need without understanding how they could affect your finances.
This also isn’t necessarily a “make $350 this week” strategy since some bonuses take weeks or months to pay. But if you’re looking for ways to make extra money beyond this week, bank account bonuses can be worth researching.
Put A Few Of These Together
The easiest way to reach $350 probably isn’t finding one magical side hustle that pays you $350.
It’s stacking several smaller opportunities.
For example, you could:
Sell unused stuff: $150
Gig app work: $100
Reward apps: $50
Craigslist cash gig: $50
That’s $350.
Your results will obviously vary, but the basic idea is what matters.
Don’t spend the entire week looking for the “perfect” side hustle.
Look at what you already have available — your stuff, your time, your car, your skills, and your local opportunities — and figure out which combination can get you closest to your goal.
