Completing surveys online is an easy side hustle and way to make money on your phone or computer.
But there are literally thousands of paid survey websites out there. And while most claim you can make decent money in your spare time, the reality is that most don’t pay very much and aren’t worth your time.
One survey platform that’s been growing in popularity is Opinion Inn. It says you can share your opinion to earn rewards, and it even has a juicy $10 sign-up bonus to attract new users.
But is Opinion Inn legit? And can you really make money with this website?
In this Opinion Inn review, I’m sharing my experiences with this survey site, how much it pays, and how to decide if it’s actually worth using.
Let’s get to it!

What Is Opinion Inn?
Opinion Inn is a survey group and market research firm. It lets you answer online surveys to earn cash in your spare time, and it’s completely free to sign up and join.
According to its website, Opinion Inn pays anywhere from $0.50 to $100 per survey, which definitely is quite the large claim.
It also has a nice $10 sign-up bonus for new users. On paper, it seems like a pretty high-paying GPT site that you can use to make some extra cash in your spare time.
The question is: how does it work, and can you actually make money?
How Does Opinion Inn Work?
Opinion Inn is very easy to use, and surveys and polls are the main way to make money. All-in-all, the platform works in five simple steps:
- Complete your profile
- Answer online surveys
- Complete polls
- Cash out
Here’s how each step works in a bit more detail.
1. Sign Up
Registering for Opinion Inn is quick and simple. Simply visit its website and enter your basic demographic such as your age, marital status and Zip code.
I was able to sign up for Opinion Inn in just a few minutes.
Some users on Reddit report that they can’t sign up because their Zip codes aren’t accepted. While this survey platform is technically worldwide, it mostly accepts users from the United States, Canada, UK, and Australia. If you can’t sign up with your Zip code, you’re basically out of luck.
2. Complete Your Profile
After signing up, you receive a confirmation email to verify your email address and to generate your password.
While this screen was a bit glitchy during my sign up, I was finally able to get it to submit. After you generate your password, your account gets reviewed, which can take 48 hours to 72 hours for approval.
This step is a bit strange since most beermoney sites let you use the platform once you verify your email.
However, following approval, you get the $10 sign-up bonus credited to your account, which is nice.
3. Answer Surveys
After you are approved as a member for Opinion Inn, you can begin answering surveys for cash.
You receive email notifications when paid survey opportunities are available. You can also find available surveys if you login and check your Opinion Inn dashboard.
Surveys cover topics like entertainment, sports, politics, health, and the regular things you’d expect from market research companies. You can also get a lot of surveys that relate to your job and industry, since you enter this info when you sign up.
However, Opinion Inn doesn’t usually have endless surveys to answer, or even any at all.
This means it’s a slow-earner for many people, and you might only get a couple of surveys every week that each pay a few dollars at most. I highly doubt you’ll find any $10 to $100 surveys like the site has claimed.
4. Complete Polls
In addition to completing surveys, you can also earn money by completing polls on Opinion Inn. These are short, occasional polls that Opinion Inn can ask members in exchange for a tiny bit of money.
Also note that there’s a monthly draw for a $500 cash prize. You have to answer at least five surveys in a month to qualify for the draw, but it’s a nice chance to earn some free money.
Product sampling opportunities are also available on Opinion Inn, although I couldn’t find any in my account and I don’t know how common this is.
5. Cash Out
You have to earn at least $25 to cash out with Opinion Inn. This is fairly high in the world of online surveys, although the initial $10 sign-up bonus helps you reach this amount a bit faster.
Personally, as someone who makes money online regularly, I love that PayPal is the primary payment option rather than various gift cards. This way I can use my earnings however I choose, including depositing them into my bank account.
How Much Does Opinion Inn Pay?
Most Opinion Inn surveys pay around $1 to $5 per survey for about 10 to 20 minutes of your time. Users report a lot of competition for surveys and that they often fill up rather quickly, and you might only get one or two surveys per month depending on your demographics.
The site says that surveys can pay $0.50 to as much as $100 per survey. However, the highest paying survey opportunities are somewhat rare, and often targeted towards higher net-worth individuals who are unlikely pursuing surveys as additional income.
Overall, this means that Opinion Inn isn’t a very high-paying survey site. This is because there aren’t many surveys to complete. And, you can get disqualified for some opportunities due to demographics, in which case you don’t get paid at all.
Ultimately, this means you can make some quick money with Opinion Inn, but it might take you a while to actually reach $25 to cash out.
Is Opinion Inn Legit?
Opinion Inn is a legit survey website that lets you make money by sharing your opinion. It also has plenty of positive online reviews and is highly rated on websites like Trustpilot.
The $10 sign up bonus and fact that you can cash out for free PayPal money are two selling points for Opinion Inn.
Really, the main complaint users have is that there aren’t enough survey opportunities. This means it can take weeks or even months to actually cash out, but you will get paid on time when you eventually cash out.
Pros & Cons
After testing out Opinion Inn for this review, here are some of the pros and cons I’ve found:
- Website is user friendly and simple to use
- You receive a $10 bonus for signing up
- PayPal cash is a reward option
- Available worldwide
- Registration is glitchy, and it took me a few tries to create a password
- It takes 48 to 72 hours to verify users and prevents instant access, so you can’t complete surveys right away
- There’s a limited number of surveys available
- Some countries including the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom will have more surveys available than others
- Survey results can take 4-6 weeks to be verified which can delay payments
- The company took away the referral program that used to be in place
Other Opinion Inn Reviews
I found Opinion Inn was very easy to use, even though signing up was a bit glitchy. But I couldn’t answer any surveys since none were available, which is a downside.
However, one great way to tell if an online money-making method is worth it or not is to see what other users have to say.
Thankfully, overall opinions and reviews of Opinion Inn are positive with an average of 4.7 out of 5 stars on Trustpilot. Here’s what some other users are saying:
- Sanjay says: “I have been a fortunate member at their forum for more than a year. While the survey frequency is not much but the payout it good.”
- Stephen J. Caggiano says: “I enjoy this site! Surveys pop up from time to time, I fill them out, and BOOM! Money in the bank. Takes a little time for approval, but a reasonable time given the premium they pay. Thanks team!”
This Reddit thread also has some great feedback from users about how long it takes to actually cash out with Opinion Inn:
- One user says: “The first time they paid me it took 2 months. They verified everything over and over first. Now, it’s about 10 days. You must have 25 to cash out. But, you can make that in a week easy. On a good day, you can make it in an hour. Some weeks are crap…some great.”
As you can see, Opinion Inn has fairly positive reviews. But the main downside is that it can take weeks to cash out, and it can also be inconsistent with how many surveys you get.

The Best Sites Like Opinion Inn
I think Opinion Inn is a decent survey site to have on the side since surveys can pay a few bucks, which is a good rate. But it shouldn’t be your main side hustle since there aren’t enough surveys.
Thankfully, there are plenty of Opinion Inn alternatives you can use like:
- Branded Surveys: A leading survey website that lets you cash out at only $5 unlike Opinion Inn.
- Pinecone Research: Earn $3 for every survey you complete and cash out instantly.
- Kashkick: This platform lets you make money by answering surveys and playing games, and you can cash out at $10.
- Survey Junkie: Another leading survey platform with a low $5 cash out minimum.
- MyPoints: Get a free $10 Amazon gift card for signing up and completing a shopping offer, and earn even more from answering paid surveys!
Between all these Opinion Inn alternatives, you can definitely make a bit of extra cash each month. And some of them, like MyPoints, even have a nice sign-up bonus that you can take advantage of!

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Opinion Inn A Scam?
Opinion Inn isn’t a scam. It’s a legitimate survey website and overall their users seem pleased with the results. The main downside is that there aren’t many surveys, so it can take a while to reach the $25 cash out requirement.
It also has a few more steps built into it than some of the other survey groups I’ve reviewed. There is a 48 to 72 hour approval process just to join Opinion Inn, and it also can take several weeks for them to verify survey results and process payments.
If you’re an impatient instant gratification type person, these delays might be frustrating. However, the higher than average payouts offered for surveys can help make up for some of the extra time required.
Is Opinion Inn Safe?
Yes. Opinion Inn is safe and highly rated by users. The site pays out via PayPal which is secure, and the platform is very easy to use in general.
As with any company, it does appear that occasional issues occur, but the Opinion Inn service team seems to be prompt and helpful with resolution.
While survey takers on Opinion Inn wish that the site would have more survey opportunities available, overall, most individuals making money online with Opinion Inn seem pleased with the results.
I also found the website was pretty easy to use once I could create my password. And the fact you get a $10 sign up bonus is quite nice.
I still think online survey sites like Branded Surveys and Survey Junkie are better since they let you cash out at $5. Really, Opinion Inn’s lack of surveys and $25 minimum cash out requirement are the two main downsides.
For a flexible, easy side hustle, give this survey site a try. Hopefully, my Opinion Inn review provides some insight into what you should expect and how much money you can make.
