I’ve always loved exploring different passive income opportunities on This Online World.
The thing is, there’s no better feeling than earning passive income while you sleep or while completing everyday tasks you’d be doing anyway.
This is why there are so many companies out there that promise they’ll pay you for things like being a brand ambassador or advertising on their behalf.
One of these companies is Stickr.co, a company that says you can earn free gift cards and cash in exchange for placing a decal on your car to promote different companies.
This is similar to car wrapping companies like Carvertise and Wrapify, but is Stickr.co legit or a scam?
Well, as we’re going to find in this Stickr.co review, you’re definitely best to steer clear of this company, so let’s dive into how Stickr.co works and what some better options are.

Ease Of Use
What Is Stickr.co?
Stickr.co is a car advertising company that claims you can earn upwards of $2,300 in free cash and gift cards every year.
The way Stickr.co works is pretty simple: you agree to place decals on your car to advertise different Stickr.co clients and earn gift cards or cash in exchange.
Stickr.co is available in all 50 U.S. states.
Additionally, the website states that all decals are see-thru and made from high quality material.
This is much less obtrusive than many car wrapping gigs that require wrapping your entire vehicle in an advertisement.
But, as we’re going to explore, there are some pretty major red flags with this company that I think warrant thinking twice.
How Does Stickr.co Work?
If you want to try making money with Stickr.co, the process is similar to other car advertising gigs.
Generally, here’s how it works:
- You check your driver eligibility
- Complete the Stickr.co driver application
- Select campaigns you want to participate in
- Get your decal and advertise
- Get paid
Again, I am pretty skeptical after researching this company and reading other Stickr.co reviews, but let’s explain how each step works for users.
1. Search For Campaigns
The first step to getting started with Stickr.co is to enter your Zip code.
I think this is just to check if you live in the U.S. and near a major city since Stickr.co states its available in all 50 states.
In any case, once you complete this short task, you’re taken to a new portal where you begin the driver application process.
2. Complete The Stickr.co Driver Application
Once you enter your Zip code, you have to complete a short questionnaire about your driving habits and insurance policy.
Specifically, Stickr.co asks potential drivers:
- How many miles you drive per year on average
- If you have auto insurance
- Who the auto insurance policyholder is
- If you’re a rideshare driver for companies like DoorDash or Uber Eats or Lyft
- If your vehicle is newer than 2015 or not
That’s it: that is the entire Stickr.co driver application process.
I find it very weird that it doesn’t ask you more in-depth questions like Carvertise does, like if you commute to work, drive on highways, or similar questions to gauge your driving habits.
In any case, that’s all there is to the application process.
3. Select Campaigns
Once you complete your driver application process, Stickr.co double-checks that you’re okay with advertising on your vehicle.
A popup also asks if you understand that “shipping is free, though some campaigns may require a deposit to ensure decal installation.”
This is frankly hilarious and where Stickr.co becomes somewhat questionable, but bear with me as we get through this review.
Once you select ‘Okay,” you can view a list of available car advertising gigs on your Stickr.co dashboard.
On my dashboard, I see advertising gigs for companies like:
- Fair Auto Insurance
- #YessMamm, a breast cancer awareness group
- 1800 Contacts
Each campaign displays its monthly compensation, how many slots are open, and the campaign length.
In the Fair Auto Insurance campaign example I’m eligible for, it states I can earn cash plus a $50 gift card every month and that there are 15 slots available.
It also states this campaign doesn’t have an expiration date.
Now, if you see a campaign you want, you can click “Join Campaign,” and that’s where things get very confusing.
4. Ship Your Decal
As a general rule of thumb, if an advertising gig ever asks you to pay to advertise the product, you’re being scammed.
I mean, just think about it: what sort of job asks you to pay to be a salesperson?
Sounds quite MLM if you ask me, and this is where I have a problem with Stickr.co.
Once you click a campaign to join, you’re directed to a new screen where you enter your shipping and billing information.
According to Stickr.co, as soon as you take a photo of the decal on your car, you get paid every month.
But, the catch is that you have to pay a $9.99 monthly Stickr.co membership fee to be eligible to put the decal on your car.
Stickr.co claims they reimburse this $9.99 monthly fee if you send in a photo of your decal, but again, an advertising gig should never ask you for payments to advertise something in the first place.
5. Get Paid?
According to Stickr.co, you can earn cash and free gift cards every month you send in a photo and verify that the decal is on your car.
Cash is sent via PayPal or direct deposit, although in the campaign I tried entering, it didn’t mention exactly how much cash I would earn, just that I would earn a $50 gift card to restaurants in my area.”
The decal apparently arrives within 3-7 days, so theoretically, this means you’d be out $9.99 for about a week until you verify your decal and get reimbursed.
How Much Does Stickr.co Pay?
Stickr.co states you can earn up to $2,300 per year that you advertise with car decals.
The company also states it pays out with PayPal cash, direct deposit, or free gift cards to restaurants in your area.
But, here’s another catch: Stickr.co mostly pays out with Restaurant.com gift cards.
These aren’t exactly gift cards and are closer to coupons since they often require purchasing twice the value of the gift card to actually get any savings.
For example, your Restaurant.com gift card might require spending $75 at a restaurant to get $25; hardly the same thing as a straight up gift card.
Additionally, if you don’t live in an area with any Restaurant.com partners (which include less-popular chains that are hard to find anyway), you’re basically out of luck.
And, we haven’t even talked about if Stickr.co is legit or a scam yet or what users of this company have said online, so that’s another can of worms to get into.
So, in a nutshell, Stickr.co claims it pays up to $2,300 per year for drivers, but I don’t think this is entirely accurate or what you should expect for earnings.
Other Stickr.co Reviews – What Drivers Say
I always think it’s a good idea to check out other reviews when you’re considering a side hustle idea.
And, I have to say, there are a lot of other Stickr.co reviews that explain what’s really going on here.
For example, in one massive Reddit thread, users accuse Stickr.co of being an MLM that basically scams people out of a monthly membership and never actually pays people or even ships a decal!
Here’s what a few Stickr.co drivers said about the company:
- Desirai says: “I fell for it a few years ago when I was struggling. I had to pay a fee to get started then I had to pay a monthly fee to keep the sticker. I didn’t even put the sticker on my car. But allegedly you only got a small amount like for each sign up maybe $10 and the monthly fee was 9.99 I think. The startup kit was 39.99.”
- Visual-Main6851 says: “I paid around $50 to join, enticed by their flowery marketing and promise of extra passive income. Well, you actually have to pay $7.99 a month to put their sticker on your car. They pay you around $12 dollars a month – so minus the $7.99 you pay them, you are only making $4.00 a month. I brought that up with their rep, and she reminded me that I get around $50 of restaurant “gift cards”. These Restaurant.com gift cards are pretty worthless and so difficult to use.”
- sw33tbaboo says: “I saw their ad yesterday and clicked on it. Answered a couple of questions, then left when asked for my info. I figured it was a scam. I appreciate the confirmation.”
This isn’t an isolated incident of bad Stickr.co reviews either.
Other Reddit threads have former Stickr.co drivers who claim they never got paid or even saw a decal in the first place.
In this thread, here’s what some other drivers had to say:
- Rendin says: “It’s definitely a scam. I gave it a shot and all I am is out of money. They made a whole bunch of excuses about how their management team was trying to get me paid but I never saw a cent.”
- winnswinns says: “Got scammed 8 dollars a month for advertising them. How is that even fair, I even have emails of them saying they were going to PayPal me money.”
Furthermore, Stickr.co currently has a 3.83 out of 5 star rating on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) but has a score of F and isn’t accredited.
You can find some positive Stickr.co reviews on websites like SiteJabber, Glassdoor, and Trustpilot, but I have no idea if these are real and the majority of reviews are negative.
So, maybe Stickr.co works for some, but in my opinion, this isn’t a legit money-making opportunity, at least for most users!
Pros & Cons
If you’re still thinking about trying to make money with Stickr.co, here are some of the pros and cons to consider.
- Potentially passive income, but I don’t think this company works for most people
- Tons of negative online reviews
- You have to pay for a Stickr.co membership
- Lots of claims that this company is a scam or MLM scheme
- Lack of transparency about certain payment terms or amounts
In my opinion, you’re better off avoiding Stickr.co than risking paying for a membership and never making any money.
If you like the idea of earning passive income but don’t want to try Stickr.co, you have a few options.
You can try other car-wrapping gigs like Carvertise, but in my opinion, the monthly pay and potential issues you can run into just isn’t worth it.
And, if you care more about passive income, you can always try ideas like renting out your vehicle on platforms like Getaround, or renting out assets for money besides your car with companies like Neighbor.
I think all of these ideas have a higher earning potential than Stickr.co, and you don’t have to pay a monthly membership either and risk getting scammed!

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is Stickr.co Legit?
In my opinion, Stickr.co is not a legitimate company because it charges a monthly fee to advertise and has a track record of never paying drivers.
I think this is quite scammy, and while there are some positive Stickr.co reviews, it seems like most people never get paid or even reimbursed for their monthly membership fee.
2. Is Stickr.co Worth It?
If Stickr.co had a better track record of paying drivers, it might be worth it to advertise on your car and earn $50 per month in random gift cards.
But since Stickr.co clearly has negative reviews from many drivers and pays inconsistently, I don’t think it’s worth using.
3. How Do I Cancel My Stickr Membership?
If you’re stuck paying a monthly Stickr.co membership but want to cancel, you have a few options.
Firstly, you can use the “Manage My Account” tab on the website and then click the “Cancel My Account” button to begin the process.
You have to complete a short questionnaire about why you’re cancelling your account, but this should stop the monthly payments.
However, I also suggest emailing the company at email@example.com to request an account cancellation and to stop all monthly payments just so you’re extra sure.
4. How Much Does A Stickr Driver Make?
According to Stickr, a driver can earn up to $2,300 per year in free gift cards and PayPal cash.
However, I think most people don’t get paid or only make around $5 per month judging by reviews on Reddit, so the earning potential is low or non-existent.

Who Should Use Stickr.co?
In my opinion, this company isn’t worth using to boost your monthly income.
I think the risk of not getting paid is too high judging by the negative reviews.
The point is, put your time and effort towards side hustles with a higher earning potential!
I hope our Stickr.co review helps clarify how this company works and if you should use it or not.
I don’t like companies that make you pay a membership to try and make money. And, like the golden rule says, if something is too good to be true, it probably is!
If you have experiences using Stickr.co to make money, I’d love to hear more about your experiences in the comments.
Until then, best of luck in earning some passive income!
