Online survey sites have been growing over the years for their convenience of making money online.
InboxDollars is the perfect example. It has millions of members, and it lets you earn extra cash and gift cards in your spare time, all from the comfort of your own home.
However, InboxDollars isn’t for everyone since it has a high cash out requirement. And if you want to try other beermoney sites to earn extra PayPal cash or free gift cards, there are plenty of excellent alternatives.
So today, I’m covering some of the best apps and sites like InboxDollars you can use to get quick money.
Let’s get to it.
The Best Apps & Sites Like InboxDollars
I’ve been using paid survey sites for years to make money. And during this time, I’ve tested dozens of them to find the ones that are legit and pay the most.
InboxDollars is definitely a crowd favorite. It has a nice sign up bonus, and there are plenty of ways to earn.
But if you want to try out some InboxDollar alternatives and try something new, you’re in luck.
Time to explore some legit sites and apps like InboxDollars that you can use to earn.
1. Branded Surveys
Branded Surveys is a popular paid survey site that’s an excellent website like InboxDollars if you just want to answer surveys for cash.
The site is free to use and is available in the United States, Canada, Australia, and the UK. And it lets you cash out with PayPal or various gift cards at just $5.
What’s nice about Branded Surveys is that it also has a loyalty program called Branded Elite.
With Branded Elite, you earn bonus points every month if you complete enough surveys. So, if you’re serious about grinding out surveys, it’s one of the best sites like InboxDollars out there.
There’s also a nice $1 sign up bonus to get you started. And in my experience, Branded Surveys pays out pretty quickly and is legit.
2. Survey Junkie
As the name suggests, Survey Junkie lets you make money by participating in surveys.
When you sign up, you answer a brief demographic questionnaire to help match you to relevant surveys. You can generally make anywhere between $2-$5 per hour depending on the surveys you get.
The minimum withdrawal amount for Survey Junkie is $5 which is an advantage of using this platform over sites like InboxDollars.
Cash out options include various popular gift cards, Paypal, and even direct deposit to your bank account.
However, unlike InboxDollars, Survey Junkie is solely focused on surveys. If you’re not into that, then you might prefer a different site on this list.
Sign up for Survey Junkie and start earning rewards!
3. Swagbucks
Swagbucks is another popular website like InboxDollars, which isn’t too surprising since both sites are owned by the same company.
And, like InboxDollars, Swagbucks lets you make money in a variety of ways like:
- Shopping online online
- Watching ads
- Scanning barcodes
- Searching the web
- Answering surveys
- Playing mobile games
Again, a high earning potential on a survey site doesn’t mean it has a high earning potential compared to a part-time job or gig economy app.
However, the range of ways to earn money is a perk. Points you earn credit as SB points (SwagBucks). And Swagbucks often has $10 sign up bonuses you can take advantage of.
There’s also a $1 minimum cash out amount for many gift card rewards. And PayPal rewards are available at just $5.
Overall, if you want a variety of earning methods, Swagbucks is one of the best sites like InboxDollars out there.
4. YouGov
If you’re still looking for legit sites like InboxDollars, one more option you can consider is YouGov.
This survey platform is available in the United States, Canada, the UK, and many European countries. And it lets you share your opinion to earn dozens of different gift cards to popular retailers like Amazon, iTunes, and Starbucks.
Now, the main attraction of YouGov is that some of its surveys pay a few dollars worth of points upon completion. This is a higher rate than many alternatives to InboxDollars.
However, the minimum cash out requirement is $15 which is a bit high.
That said, you can also join YouGov Pulse, a data collection extension, to earn passive income with YouGov. This program pays about $50 per year, and it’s completely autopilot income.
Don’t expect to get rich with this site. But for some steady, free money, YouGov is worth considering.
Sign up for YouGov or read my YouGov review for all the details.
5. MyPoints
MyPoints is another website like InboxDollars that’s been in the online paid survey space for an incredibly long time.
Like Swagbucks and InboxDollars, you can earn points on MyPoints by:
- Completing surveys
- Playing games for cash
- Watching videos and ads
However, what makes MyPoints rather compelling is its get paid to shop section.
As a MyPoints member, you can actually shop online at hundreds of brands and earn points in the form of cashback.
This is basically like Rakuten or TopCashback, but what’s also cool is that there’s a ‘Deals’ section with shopping bonuses of $10-$20 or more.
PLUS, MyPoints gives you a $10 sign up bonus if you shop online at an eligible store and spend at least $20. You can redeem this in the form of an Amazon or Visa gift card.
MyPoints also has a chrome shopping extension to ensure you never miss out on cashback for eligible purchases, which is a plus,
Just note that the minimum withdrawal amount for Paypal is $25.
Sign up for MyPoints and take advantage of the $10 bonus!
6. Kashkick
Another site similar to InboxDollars you can try out is Kashkick, which pays you for answering surveys and completing various offers.
Like InboxDollars, Kashkick is available in the United States and is open to members who are 18 or older.
You make money by completing surveys, but there are also paid gaming offers and offers that pay you for signing up for different subscriptions and services.
You can cash out with PayPal cash once you earn $10, and Kashkick surveys usually pay $0.50 to $2.50 on average.
This is definitely a higher rate than InboxDollars, and a $10 cash out requirement is lower as well.
Get started with Kashkick or read our Kashkick review for more info!
7. Opinion Outpost
Opinion Outpost has over 2 million members partaking in online surveys, product testing, and watching ads.
I enjoy how simple this site is. You sign up in one minute and you can already start earning. And you can cash out for rewards like free Amazon gift cards, Paypal, and Visa gift cards.
According to MyPoints, it pays over $390,000 to their users every single month. That’s $4.7 million per year!
Depending on your demographic, you’re likely to be making around $2 per hour with Opinion Outpost.
The minimum amount to withdraw is $10 through Paypal. Every point is equal to 10 cents, so you’d need 100 points to cash out.
Again, this is a very low earning potential. However, if you want a simple InboxDollars alternative to make money in your spare time, you can try Opinion Outpost.
8. Pinecone Research
If you want to get paid instantly for your survey work, then Pinecone Research is an excellent site like InboxDollars you can use.
This premium research panel pays you $3 for every survey you complete. And you can then cash out for free gift cards to companies like Amazon immediately.
This is a much faster payout schedule than InboxDollars. However, you need to apply and get accepted to join Pinecone Research.
It’s also only available in the United States. And if your demographics don’t match what the research panel is looking for, you might be on the waiting list for a while.
My Pinecone Research review covers everything you need to know about this popular website.

9. Prolific
Prolific is one of my favorite sites like InboxDollars because it takes the guesswork out of completing surveys and studies.
With other survey sites, you get a massive list of surveys to complete. Then, you have to answer a few questions to see if you’re even eligible to take the survey.
This process ultimately takes too long without a guarantee of success. But with Prolific, you can take any survey that pops up on your feed.
I used to have Prolific open on my browser everyday and just complete quick surveys as they came along.
You can make around $4-$5 per day if you’re attentive enough to it. They even tell you how long the survey is likely to take based on other testers!
The minimum withdrawal amount on Prolific is £5 (it’s a UK based company) which amounts to about $6.80.
But, one of the best parts about Prolific is that they guarantee a minimum hourly rate of around $6.50, so you’ll never get stuck answering hour-long surveys that pay peanuts.
If there’s one site I recommend giving a try, it’s definitely this one! You can also read our post on the best sites like Prolific for more ideas!
10. Toluna
Like InboxDollars, another versatile rewards website you can use to earn PayPal money and gift cards is Toluna.
With Toluna, you can earn money in a variety of ways. Options include answering surveys, playing games, participating in polls, entering sweepstakes, and inviting your friends.
Toluna also has a mobile app, which is handy if you want to make money from your phone while you’re on the go.
Once you earn $10, you can cash out for dozens of gift cards or PayPal money. And gift card options include companies like Amazon, CVS, and Target.
11. Mistplay
If you enjoy playing Android games, then Mistplay is one of the best apps like InboxDollars you can use.
This leading gaming rewards program pays you for downloading and playing new Android games. If you want a fun video game side hustle, this is the app for you.
I’ve used Mistplay for a few years, and I like that it has a wide variety of games to play for cash.
For example, you can play genres like strategy, card, puzzle, arcade, and action games. And new games get added all the time.
You can cash out your points for free gift cards, with some starting at only $0.50. And Mistplay recently added PayPal cash as a reward as well.
Apps like Mistplay won’t make hundreds of dollars per month. But again, it’s a fun Android app that pays, and the game variety is better than InboxDollars.
You can sign up for Mistplay to get started or read my Mistplay app review for more info.
And if you want even more gaming side hustles, you can check out Rewarded Play and JustPlay as well!
12. PrizeRebel
I couldn’t possibly write a list of the best websites like InboxDollars without mentioning PrizeRebel.
This platform is a fan-favorite amongst many survey side hustlers, and the company has paid out millions of dollars to members over the years.
Unlike InboxDollars, PrizeRebel only lets you make money by answering surveys. However, it has a pretty high survey payout rate, and gift card and PayPal cash rewards are available at only $5 and $10 respectively.
I’ve cashed out a few times with this website, and payments come within a day or two usually. And you can also invite your friends to join PrizeRebel for a small referral bonus.
13. Zap Surveys
Zap Surveys is an app that you can use to get paid for taking surveys on the go.
If you’re out of the house often and want something to pass the time, it might be beneficial to download this app on your phone.
It guarantees that your first survey pays $6.25. Think of it as a sign up bonus, albeit a pretty decent one!
Zap Surveys includes a few unique features such as location based surveys, daily rewards, and up to 40% cash back at popular brands!
The minimum withdrawal amount is $25 which is pretty high compared to the other platforms on the list. Some users claimed to reach the threshold in about 2 weeks or so.
There are 12 different cash out options including Paypal, Amazon, Visa, iTunes, and more.
Zap Surveys claims to send out payment within the same day you redeem it which is extremely quick!
14. Grindabuck
Grindabuck is a get-paid-to website that was founded by Grindabit Interactive in 2014.
According to their website, Grindabuck has paid out its users more than $515,000 since inception.
Grindabuck was actually one of Tom’s college side hustles, and he used Grindabuck in his rotation of passive income apps and websites to earn over $100 by watching ads:
You can make money on Grindabuck by watching ads. answering surveys, and completing other offers such as playing mobile games.
Because it’s one of the smaller sites on this list, it seems to have a very reliable base for cashing out on time and paying a decent amount to its users.
You’ll receive a welcome bonus of 100 Grindabucks ($1) and the minimum withdrawal amount is $10 for new users.
You can redeem your earnings through Amazon, free Paypal cash, other gift cards, and even cryptocurrency payments!
15. Microtask Websites
Another viable InboxDollars alternative is to join microtask sites that pay you for completing short online tasks.
In a nutshell, these sites allow you to complete mini jobs in your field that companies or solopreneurs need help with.
If you have a specific skill or time to work on research/data collecting, then you should definitely give these websites a try.
Here are a few microtask sites to check out:
- Amazon MTurk – A crowdsourcing marketplace that’s owned by Amazon.
- Remotasks – Learn basic skills and complete tasks online for money.
- Clickworker – Provide user data for companies to improve AI technology.
- Appen – Hires for a variety of micro tasks gigs like transcription jobs, annotation, and image identification.
If you don’t necessarily have a specific skill to complete virtually, I highly recommend you check out Remotasks.
All you need is a computer and a little bit of time to complete various tasks such as outlining images, annotating 3D objects, transcribing text, and categorizing keywords together.
This work is a bit of a grind, but if you run out of paid survey opportunities, this is another niche money making idea you can try.

16. GrabPoints
One final alternative to InboxDollars worth considering is GrabPoints.
This get-paid-to website pays you for:
- Answering surveys
- Downloading apps
- Referring your friends
- Watching videos and ads
- Completing paid shopping offers
The advantage of GrabPoints over InboxDollars is that many gift card rewards start at just $5, and it’s the same with PayPal.
There’s no mobile app, but the website is pretty user-friendly, and you can realistically cash out rewards the same day you sign up.
Start earning with GrabPoints or read my GrabPoints review for all the details.

Other Popular InboxDollar Alternatives
If you’re going through this list thinking, “Why would I only want to make $1-$5 per hour online?”, then I understand where you’re coming from.
There are definitely other options out there to make you a little extra cash per hour, and that would be my suggestion if I’m being honest.
These InboxDollar alternatives include higher-paying gigs like:
- Delivering food for DoorDash or Uber Eats.
- Delivering groceries with Instacart or Shipt.
- Trying apps like TaskRabbit to complete random odd jobs in your city.
- Using Handy Pro to complete handyman-type tasks for people in your community.
You can even get a bit creative here. For example, you can make money renting out things you own on websites like Fat Llama (things like cameras or drones, for example).
Alternatively, you can try starting your own online business, like a blog or YouTube channel.
All of these side hustles have way more income potential than sites like InboxDollars, so don’t limit yourself here!
You deserve to be paid a decent amount for your efforts and doing so with a gig economy app is a great place to start.
Plus, you can do some of these jobs with a bike in most cities, making it more accessible to the public.

Final Thoughts
I hope this list of sites and apps like InboxDollars helps you make money online as a beginner and find some new, legit rewards platforms.
None of these sites or apps are going to make thousands of dollars. But for some quick cash and gift cards, they’re effective options.
Just remember to consider the opportunity cost of these platforms as well. I’ve used survey sites for years, but I think branching into other side hustles with higher income potential is also important.
