If you’re trying to make money online quickly, one common recommendation is to answer surveys for money.
There are lots of survey sites that pay cash and gift cards for sharing your opinion.
However, a lot of survey sites aren’t worth your time or take forever to cash out, so it’s important to know if a platform is worthwhile or not.
One popular survey platform is Eureka Surveys.
But, is Eureka legit and actually a viable way to make money online? Or, are you better off using other gpt websites?
Well, in our Eureka app review, I’m covering everything you need to know about this survey platform, my personal experience with the platform, and if you should even bother signing up.

What Is Eureka Surveys?
Eureka Surveys is a paid survey website and app that claims it has paid members over $2 million dollars since starting out.
If you use various beermoney apps and micro task websites to make a bit of extra cash, Eureka Surveys should feel pretty familiar.
On Eureka Surveys, you can make money by sharing your opinion on popular survey topics like consumer preferences, entertainment, health, and politics.
Eureka works with numerous market research groups and other survey platforms, so it connects you to relevant surveys and pays you for your insight.
Again, this is basically how all survey sites work, so Eureka isn’t doing anything too revolutionary here.
According to its website, there’s over 1 million members on the platform.
Note: You have to be 18 or older and live in the United States or Canada to make money with Eureka Surveys.
How Does Eureka Surveys Work?
Answering surveys for money with Eureka Surveys is straightforward and takes six steps:
- Sign up for Eureka Surveys.
- Complete Your Profile.
- Answer Surveys.
- Answer The Daily Poll.
- Use The Mobile App.
- Cash Out.
I found it was very easy to sign up and understand how the platform works, but that’s the case with most survey sites.
Time to dive into how the Eureka surveys platform works in greater detail!
1. Sign Up
Signing up for Eureka Surveys is free, and you have to be 18 or older and live in the U.S. or Canada to join.
When you sign up, here’s the information you provide:
- Your email address
- Password
- Gender
- Year of birth
- ZIP code
After you sign up, you have to verify your account by clicking on a verification link Eureka sends via email.
Once you do that, you’re ready to start making money!
2. Complete Your Profile
Eureka promises new users a $1 first survey, and they stick to this promise.
When you first sign in, Eureka has a quick intro survey you can complete to earn $1.
My welcome survey was about 18 questions that asked about things like my age, demographics, employment status, and consumer preferences. It took about a minute to complete, and afterwards, I got paid $1.
Now, Eureka Surveys also has a few more short surveys that pay around $0.25 to $0.45 for completing them.
These surveys help complete your profile and let Eureka Surveys learn more about you to match you to more survey opportunities.
According to Eureka, completing your profile gets you 4 times more survey opportunities, so it’s worth doing if you’re serious about this side hustle.
I only had a few welcome surveys that covered topics like entertainment, ridesharing, and Netflix.
I completed my entire Eureka Surveys profile in about 10 minutes and earned a little over $2 in the process.
Eureka also asks you to enable location tracking and states this is another way to increase how many paid survey opportunities you land.
3. Answer Sweepstake Surveys
After you complete your profile, the main way to make money on Eureka Surveys is to answer its sweepstake surveys. Eureka Surveys pays $750 to $1,000 in free money to members every single week through its sweepstake system.
So, when you complete sweepstake surveys, you get a certain number of sweepstake entries for the weekly draw.
Sweepstake surveys also display how much time they take roughly and how much money you make for completing them.
Many of the surveys on my dashboard take about 10 to 15 minutes and pay $1 to $1.50.
This is about $5 to $6 per hour, which is on-par with more popular sites like Prolific and better than sites like InboxDollars.
But, I honestly had a pretty poor experience answering Eureka Surveys in this section, and after about 25 minutes of trying, I wasn’t able to earn anything!
Disqualifications are a huge problem with Eureka Surveys. Additionally, a lot of surveys rejected my Postal Code despite the fact I signed up with that same code.
Furthermore, one survey I was completing redirected from Ipsos iSay to a random survey site, and when I finished the survey, I just got redirected to another survey!
Overall, I found using Eureka Surveys to be very frustrating, and I think disqualifications and the low payout rate mean you’re probably earning $1 to $2 per hour max with this website.
4. Complete The Daily Poll
Like Swagbucks, Eureka Surveys has a one-question daily poll you can answer to earn $0.01.
This is a measly amount of money but takes one click, and it’s basically the only other way to make money on the platform.
5. Use The Eureka Surveys App
If you want to make money while on the go, you can also download the Eureka app for free on Android and iOS.
The Eureka Surveys app lets you use all of the same features as the web version, so you can answer surveys in your spare time to make a bit of extra pocket money.
6. Cash Out
Eureka Surveys requires $15 to cash out with. This is a bit on the high side in the world of online surveys seeing as Survey Junkie lets you cash out at $5.
It’s still better than Zap Surveys which requires $25 to cash out, but still, it takes some serious grinding to cash out with Eureka Surveys.
Eureka Surveys sends digital gift card codes to the email address you sign up with, and you can also add the email you want to redeem PayPal cash for.
Eureka Survey Reward Options
One of the advantages of Eureka Surveys is the variety of rewards you can redeem.
Eureka Surveys rewards include:
- Virtual Visa gift cards
- PayPal money
- Amazon gift cards
- Direct deposit to your bank account
- Starbucks gift cards
- Best Buy Gift Cards
- Target gift cards
- Walmart gift cards
- Google Play credit
- Nike gift cards
- Charitable donations
There are several dozen more gift card rewards you can redeem, but again, you have to have at least $15 in earnings to cash out.
Is Eureka Legit?
Eureka is a legit survey site that pays out users and doesn’t attempt to scam people by withholding rewards. There is plenty of payment proof online for this company, and you can also find positive Eureka Survey app reviews out there on the Google and iOS app stores.
That being said, while this is a legit company, I think many of the survey alternatives I mentioned in this post pay more and are far less glitchy.
When I tested out Eureka for this review, I found it was easy to navigate and sign up for. But my surveys were all pretty low-paying and I wasn’t very excited but using the platform.
You can still try Eureka Surveys if you want, but I personally won’t be using this survey platform and am going to stick to side hustles like freelance writing and making money with my blog.

Pros & Cons
After testing Eureka Surveys for a while, there are definitely some features I like but also some that ruin the platform for me.
So, if you’re wondering if Eureka Surveys is legit or not, consider the following pros and cons of this survey site.
The Pros:
- Nice user interface and easy to use
- Extensive reward variety, including PayPal cash and direct deposit
- Quick sign up and profile completion process
- Weekly cash giveaways
- The Eureka Surveys
The Cons:
- Very low survey payout rates
- Disqualifications and broken surveys are common in my experience
- No referral program
- A $15 withdrawal requirement is a bit on the high side
- Not easy to find customer support information or a contact page
Overall, I think Eureka Surveys is a second-tier survey website compared to much of the competition.
The disqualification rate is very high for me, and even after 25 minutes, I couldn’t earn a penny with Eureka Surveys.
The reward selection is great, but if you can’t earn a decent hourly rate, what’s the point of using the website?

Other Eureka Survey Reviews
One good way to tell if a side hustle is legit or not is to see what other people have to say about their experiences.
Personally, I couldn’t make much money with Eureka Surveys, but what are other Eureka Survey reviews like?
Well, in a recent thread on Reddit beermoney, here’s what some Eureka Survey users said about the platform:
- lisa197 says: “Eureka is one of the absolute worst survey apps, imo…The surveys are quite glitchy and don’t always pay out. Oh, yeah, you also get entered in a sweepstakes drawing when you complete a survey. I’ve never won one.”
- Zonflare says: “Use Qmee – in my opinion, much better. You don’t mess with sweepstakes, you only get paid in cash and you can cash out any time. Also Prolific is great too, they don’t have a mobile app but their website works great on mobile.”
- flasher777 says: “Last time I used the app a month ago, there were just $0.10 studies where some took 15 min to enter some sweepstakes and if there were any studies they were so low and cheap.”
Judging by these testimonials, it looks like other users complain about the low pay and glitchy surveys that disqualify you.
One user mentions using apps like Qmee instead as well because you can cash out anytime, which is another pro of using different platforms.
Eureka Survey Alternatives
If you want to make money answering surveys but want to try some other apps like Eureka Surveys, you can try:
- Branded Surveys – A leading survey site that lets you earn free PayPal cash and free gift cards for sharing your opinion.
- Rewarded Play – A popular mobile gaming rewards app that lets you earn free gift cards.
- Survey Junkie – Lets you earn free gift cards and cash and you can cash out at $5.
- Swagbucks – Answer surveys, watch ads and videos, play games, and even shop to earn gift cards and PayPal money.
- Grindabuck – Another versatile gpt website with more earning options and faster payouts than Eureka Surveys.
And, as mentioned, you can also try popular platforms like Prolific to get paid for your opinion.
Gaming reward platforms like Gamehag and Rewarded Play also let you earn free gift cards, cash, and even free Steam games for playing different video games.
Just remember, no survey site that pays gift cards or reward app is ever going to create a full-time income, so I’d be careful with the opportunity cost and spending too much time with sites like Eureka Surveys.
You can answer surveys in your spare time for a bit of cash. But if you want more serious money, you should try different gig apps instead like making money with DoorDash.

I hope our Eureka review helps you decide if this survey site is worth using or not.
There are so many different ways to make money on the internet, from game apps that pay you PayPal money to sites like Appen where you can complete short online tasks to get paid.
