Paid Bingo apps are more popular than ever these days. And these apps all claim that you can earn real cash by playing Bingo, all from the comfort of your own home.
Apps like Bingo Cash and Bingo Tour are perfect examples. These apps have hundreds of thousands of downloads, and this is just scratching the surface of the paid Bingo app space.
Another popular money-making app in this space is Bingo King. Like similar apps, it advertises that you can win actual cash by competing in skill-based Bingo games on your phone.
But is Bingo King legit? Or is this app just another scam that doesn’t really pay?
My Bingo King review is covering how this app works, its earning potential, and how to decide if it’s worth downloading.
Let’s get to it.

What Is Bingo King?
Bingo King is a competitive paid Bingo app that’s available for iOS. Greensoft Limited is the developer behind the app, and it claims players can compete in skill-based Bingo games to win real cash prizes.
In fact, Bingo King advertises that players can win up to $10,000 in cash and PayPal money prizes. And it currently has over 30,000 reviews and hundreds of thousands of players.
The app itself is free to download, and you can play practice games. But like other competitive Bingo apps, there’s a one-versus-one mode and tournaments that you pay to enter. If you perform well, you win extra cash. If you lose, you also lose your entry fee.
Again, a lot of other paid gaming apps use a similar model. But let’s take a look at how Bingo King game modes work and if you can actually make money.
How Does Bingo King Work?
Getting started with Bingo King is fairly simple, and the app is similar to other apps like Battle Bingo and Bubble Cash. All you have to do is download the free iOS app, sign up, and begin playing games.
Free games are available if you want to earn gems and hone your skills. But you can also deposit money from your bank account to enter paid tournaments for the chance to win even larger cash prizes.
There’s also a monthly leaderboard, with the top earners receiving even more cash from Bingo King at the end of every month.
Time to take a look at each step in a bit more detail.
1. Download & Sign Up
Bingo King is an iOS money app that’s completely free to download. You currently need iOS version 12.0 or later for Bingo King to run properly.
Also note that there’s an Android money app called Bingo King on the Google Play Store. However, this app is from a different developer and only has 1,000 downloads, so it’s not the same Bingo King.
Finally, Bingo King requires being at least 17 years old to play. This is because the app lets you play competitive paid games where there’s a chance to lose money.
2. Play Practice Games
Once you first launch Bingo King, there’s an in-app tutorial that shows you how to play its Bingo game and use the app.
You can skip this tutorial if you want, but it’s a nice way to get a feel for the app. There are also practice games that you can use to play for fun or to work on your Bingo skills.
As for the gameplay itself, Bingo King is very similar to apps like Bingo Clash and Blackout Bingo.
Essentially, you’re playing classic Bingo and need to reach “Bingo” by completing a row of five numbers. When numbers get called, you have to add them to your card as quickly as possible to be the first to win.
The twist is that Bingo King adds in various power-ups to gain advantages over your opponents like:
- Magic Dauber: Daub a square on any card.
- Magic Ball: Choose a ball that you can daub.
- Triple Time: You triple your score from daubing in 10 seconds.
- Extra Time: Gain an extra time bonus.
And since all players start with identical cards and balls, it’s a more competitive type of Bingo since speed and using power-ups properly is what makes a good player.
At the end of a game, the player with the most points wins, and that’s the entire game in a nutshell.
3. Play Competitive Bingo Games
To earn money online with Bingo King, you have to deposit money and enter its cash tournaments.
Tournaments have small entry fees that are usually a couple of dollars. In the tournament, you face players in one-versus-one matches and slowly move up the ranks. If you place in the top few spots in the tournament, you walk away with a share of the prize pool.
Bingo King claims you play against players of a similar skill level so it’s fair. And the app also says your Bingo cards and power-ups are identical, so it’s your speed that makes you a better player.
However, if you lose a tournament game, you’re out. This also means that you lose your entire entry fee so you’re out of money.
I think this is a downside of these types of apps that pay you to play games. Personally, I don’t like risking money to try and win more, but that’s just me.
4. Earn Leaderboard Rewards
As mentioned, Bingo King has a monthly leaderboard that highlights the players with the most wins and earnings for that month.
According to Bingo King, you can win thousands of dollars for placing in the top few spots of the leaderboard.
Placing this high requires playing a lot of tournaments, however, so it’s not easy. And the app has thousands of players, so I wouldn’t count on these free money bonuses.
5. Cash Out
Bingo King lets you cash out with PayPal. There aren’t free gift cards, but PayPal cash is really all you need anyways.
While I didn’t win enough for payment myself on Bingo King, many users report that the first time you cash out on Bingo King takes a bit longer due to verification of your account. To receive your payment quickly, make sure you Bingo King account name/email and your PayPal email are similar or the same.
Assuming you win, you should be able to cash out within a few days.
Is Bingo King Legit?
In my opinion, Bingo King isn’t very legit since it’s somewhat misleading about how easy it is to earn money. When you enter cash tournaments, you risk your money. And it’s impossible to know if you’re actually playing against other human players or if you’re playing against a rigged computer.
I also dislike that you have to pay to try and win money with Bingo King. The free games are fun, but the gems you earn aren’t worth money, so it’s basically impossible to earn without the cash tournaments.
And again, there’s no way to know if games are rigged or truly fair. In my opinion, sticking with gpt sites and apps like Swagbucks or Branded Surveys is a better call since you don’t risk any money.
Is Bingo King A Scam?
I don’t think Bingo King is a scam since it does pay out winners. The app also has a 4.7 star rating on the Apple App Store with over 30,000 ratings. In fact, it’s one of the most popular paid Bingo apps.
However, I think the app is somewhat misleading about how easy it is to make money.
And there are a considerable number of complaints about the app crashing, prize winnings disappearing, and users losing money. The large number of issues pointed out definitely give me cause for hesitation.
Pros & Cons
Pros:
- You can play practice games for fun
- Potentially earn free PayPal money
- Large leaderboard cash rewards
Cons:
- There’s no Android app
- You have to risk your own money to play in cash tournaments
- It’s impossible to know if games are rigged or not
- You can’t make money with the free games
- Account verification can take time
Other Bingo King App Reviews
Bingo King has many four or five star reviews on the app store. But when you dig into the details on reviews, you quickly see many common complaints, even on those that rate the game with high stars.
Many of the common complaints about the game include glitches that cause users to lose their winnings, users losing money and difficulty earning money. Here are some recent Bingo King reviews from the App Store:
- “If you play a game for $1.80, you can win $3.00. That means they are taking $0.60. If you win one and lose one, you just lost $0.60. Players can’t win when it’s being forced to be a 50-50 record for everybody.”
- “I’ve gone ahead and deleted the app. If you don’t care about losing money when the system logs you out in the middle of the game, then go ahead and download. If you don’t want to lose your money then I don’t recommend this game unless they have fixed the problems.”
- “You don’t win any money in this game. It is a scam. I played it for almost two hours testing everything and playing with different people exploiting watching ads for diamonds to make entries. I very carefully eased into the app and read everything. The people you get matched up with don’t seem to be real players. The consistency at which every opponent is able to make plays and get points as fast as they do is unreal.”
As you can see, one user is convinced they’re playing against computers in rigged games, which is my main concern.
One user is also unhappy about losing money, which is why I think Bingo King is a poor side hustle idea.
Ultimately, you can make money with this app. But I think the risks outweigh the rewards and that this app isn’t worth using.
The Best Bingo King Alternatives
If you want to make quick money without risking any of your own, you’re in luck.
There are plenty of alternatives to Bingo King that you can use to earn rewards in your spare time. Some of my favorites include:
- Swagbucks: This platform lets you make money by answering paid surveys, shopping online, downloading apps, and playing games.
- Mistplay: A leading gaming rewards app for Android that pays you with free gift cards.
- Branded Surveys: My favorite paid survey platform that lets you cash out at just $5.
- Rewarded Play: A popular app like Mistplay that also lets you earn gift cards for playing new Android games.
- Kashkick: Another leading survey site with PayPal cash rewards.
I also made a YouTube video that outlines other ways to play video games for money you can explore for more options.
You won’t make thousands of dollars with any of these apps. However, you can earn a quick $10 to $20 in your spare time. And you don’t need to risk any of your own funds to do so.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Bingo King Pay Real Cash?
I’m not sure. I was unable to win any real cash myself without depositing funds into my account. Some users report receiving payments, but many others report difficulty winning more than a few dollars and problems cashing out their prize.
Where Is Bingo King Available?
Because Bingo King involves paid gaming, it’s not available in every state or country. At this time, Bingo King cash tournaments aren’t available in the following U.S. states:
- Delaware
- Louisiana
- Maryland
- Montana
- Tennessee
Additionally, you can’t enter cash tournaments in numerous Australian states, including Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, Northern Territory, and Victoria.
Players in these states can still play in the free games on Bingo King for gems but aren’t eligible for real cash prizes.

Final Thoughts
I’ve reviewed many different Bingo apps over the last few months, and truthfully, I’m not too impressed with any of them.
My main problem with apps like Bingo King is that you have to risk money to make money. And you can’t know if games are rigged or not.
Plus, the app takes a percentage of prizes. So even if you win, your prize might only be a small amount more than what you paid to play.
There are so many legit beermoney apps and gig apps out there as well that don’t require risking money to earn. And most of them pay way more per hour than Bingo King.
In any case, I hope my Bingo King review helps you decide if this app deserves a place on your smartphone or not.
