What Is Cash Giraffe?
Cash Giraffe is a gaming app that pays you for downloading and playing new Android apps. It’s similar to other popular gaming reward apps like Mistplay and Rewarded Play, and it’s from popular game publisher JustDice.
If you’ve ever used a gaming rewards app, Cash Giraffe should feel pretty familiar.
In a nutshell, this app pays you with gems for downloading apps and playing new games. You can then cash in your gems for prizes like free gift cards or PayPal money.
The app is Android-only unfortunately. If you have an iPhone, my post on the best iOS games for money is a better article to read.
But if you have an Android and enjoy mobile gaming, you can use Cash Giraffe to potentially get paid for the time you spend playing.
How Does Cash Giraffe Work?
Using Cash Giraffe is very straightforward. And again, if you’ve used apps like Mistplay before, using this app is going to be a piece of cake.
I downloaded Cash Giraffe to explore the app. All-in-all, the app works in four simple steps:
- Download the app
- Download sponsored Cash Giraffe games
- Complete sponsored deals
- Cash out
Here’s how each step works in a bit more detail.
1. Download The App
As mentioned, Cash Giraffe is an Android app that pays you; sorry iPhone users, you have to look elsewhere!
Once you download the app, you create an account quickly by using your Gmail account or Facebook. You then grant Cash Giraffe permission to track the apps you use.
This is standard practice for gaming reward apps since they need to track the time you spend playing sponsored games to pay you properly. If you’re not comfortable sharing this data, this isn’t the right side hustle.
After granting permission, you get a small 1,800 gem sign up bonus, which is worth about $0.18.
2. Play Cash Giraffe Games
The main way to earn gems and rewards with Cash Giraffe is to download and play sponsored games from the in-app library.
Some of the games in my Cash Giraffe account include:
- Blast Friends
- Diamond City
- Farm Hero
- Cornhole League
- Solitaire Cash
- Tile Master 3D
- Slots Era
This is a pretty standard mix of puzzle, card, adventure, and strategy games. Just note that the country you’re in largely determines which Cash Giraffe sponsored games you can download.
Games also show you how many gems per minute you earn for playing them. All you have to do is download an app, launch it through Cash Giraffe, and you begin earning gems.
However, like other paid gaming apps, you slowly earn fewer gems per minute the longer you play. This means you have to keep downloading new games to keep earning gems at a fast rate, so keep this in mind.
3. Complete Deals
Playing new games is the main way to earn rewards with Cash Giraffe. But the app apparently has sponsored deals and paid surveys you can complete to earn more gems.
I didn’t see any of these offers pop up while trying Cash Giraffe. But you can sometimes earn extra gems for downloading a new app or answering a short online survey.
GPT sites like Branded Surveys and Prolific pay way more per survey and are steadier than Cash Giraffe.
However, it’s nice that Cash Giraffe at least adds in some new opportunities to earn aside from gaming.
4. Cash Out
Cash Giraffe lets you cash out when you earn 2,000 gems, which is worth $0.20. This is a very low minimum cash out requirement, and it’s one of Cash Giraffe’s main selling points.
As mentioned, PayPal cash is a reward option. You can also redeem various gift card rewards to companies like:
- Amazon
- Apple iTunes
- Free Google Play credit
- Starbucks
Because of the 1,800 gem welcome bonus, you can cash out within 10 to 20 minutes if you download a Cash Giraffe game or two and play them.
However, you’re only making around $0.50 with your first cash out chances are. So, this app does pay quick money, just not very much.
This is the same as apps like JustPlay, which has no minimum cash out requirement. Granted, the fact you can actually redeem PayPal money is a plus.
Also note that you have to submit a selfie to verify your identity before cashing out. And also know that different countries have slightly different minimum cash out requirements.
Is Cash Giraffe Legit?
Cash Giraffe is legit, and the app pays you for downloading and playing new mobile games. It also has over 35,000 reviews and an average rating of 4.2 stars. Overall, players like how quickly the app pays and low cash out requirements.
However, Cash Giraffe won’t make you rich.
It’s an easy way to make money online. But don’t expect to make $50 a day or anything even close with Cash Giraffe.
I also think that apps like Mistplay and Rewarded Play are slightly better since I prefer the game selection. But that’s just my opinion, and you can always test out numerous gaming apps to maximize rewards.
How Much Does Cash Giraffe Pay?
Most Cash Giraffe games start by paying a few hundred gems per minute. However, as you play games, your gem earnings per minute decrease. This means you have to keep downloading new games to earn more gems.
Ultimately, you can probably earn a few dollars per hour at most with Cash Giraffe.
If you enjoy the games you’re playing, this is basically passive income. But don’t expect this side hustle to be more than a quick $5 once in a while.
Pros & Cons
Pros:
- Decent game variety
- You can earn PayPal cash as well as gift cards
- Cash Giraffe has a low minimum cash out requirement
- The app is available in several countries
Cons:
- Some gaming reward apps have better game variety
- Low hourly earning potential
- Games pay fewer gems the more you play them
Other Cash Giraffe Reviews
I tried out Cash Giraffe for an afternoon, and overall, the app is pretty simple to use. And I like that it has a low cash out minimum.
However, one of the best ways to tell if an app is legit or not is to see what other users have to say. So, here are some recent Cash Giraffe reviews from the Google Play Store:
- Angelica Navvaro says: “Started off great. Got a couple of payouts on PayPal, but now the app is frozen. No longer registers my time playing, so I can’t build up gems. I checked my settings, uninstalled them, then re-installed, restarted my phone, and nothing. But I downloaded a new game, and that unfroze the gem points.”
- Debbie Poppy Young says: “I happen to think it’s pretty good. There are a lot of games claiming that you can make money, when in fact, once you’ve earned it, you’re unable to cash it out. At least this game actually pays out and rather quickly compared to a couple of the others.”
- Timothy Kiel says: “Whenever I install a game that is recommended from this application, It seems that I cannot get any points every time I pass a level. This means I can’t even cash out or earn any points. I’ve decided to cancel the membership and uninstall the app because it’s just not working for me.”
As you can see, one user is very happy with how fast Cash Giraffe pays. But two other users have experienced glitches and seem pretty frustrating.
This is one downside with apps like Cash Giraffe since tracking and payments don’t always work perfectly.
This Cash Giraffe review from YouTube Vinsane also explains how the app works and how to cash out.
In his review, Vinsane is able to cash out about $0.60 in PayPal money through Cash Giraffe.
But he also points out how you earn way fewer gems the more you play a game. So, if you’re playing a game you really enjoy, it’s a massive downside. This is my main problem with Cash Giraffe as well and many other paid gaming apps.

The Best Apps Like Cash Giraffe
If you want to make money with your phone and enjoy mobile gaming, Cash Giraffe could be worth trying.
However, this app doesn’t pay very much. And there are several Cash Giraffe alternatives I suggest checking out first since they pay a bit more.

- Gamehag: Another fun platform that lets you earn free Steam games, gift cards, and other gaming prizes.
- Buff: A passive way to earn gaming rewards.
I also made a YouTube video that covers some of the best ways to play games for money if you want even more ideas.
And, you can check out other popular games from JustDice, like Money Well, Cashyy and Cash’em All, for more fun reward apps.
Ultimately, none of these apps are going to make you a millionaire. But for some quick beerrmoney and a fun side hustle, they’re worth experimenting with.
