The Best Apps To Earn Gift Cards
If you want to get free gift cards, you’re in luck! The following apps and programs can all help you enjoy free rewards to some of the most popular retailers out there.
1. Branded Surveys
This is one of my favorite free gift card apps since it has a low $5 cash out minimum. Plus, new members get a $1 sign up bonus to get started.
Most surveys on Branded Surveys pay about 60 to 120 points, which is $0.60 to $1.20. So, it doesn’t take long to cash out.
2. Rewarded Play
All you have to do is download new games and play them to earn points, which are redeemable for dozens of different gift cards.
Similar to Branded Surveys, Swagbucks is another popular app that lets you earn gift cards in a number of ways.
I’ve been using Swagbucks longer than any GPT (get-paid-to) website and it’s always a consistent and reliable source to earn rewards.
Some of the ways you can earn points with Swagbucks include:
- Taking cash surveys
- Shopping online
- Uploading shopping receipts
- Playing games for money
- Answering polls
- Watching ads
Many gift cards are redeemable at just $1. And new members can even get a $10 sign up bonus to cash out that much faster.
4. Survey Junkie
Survey Junkie is one of the best survey apps out there that allows you to get free gift cards. And it’s free to sign up if you live in North America or Australia.
Once you’re a member, you get paid to answer questions about a variety of topics. You then cash out at $5 like many other survey sites.
Upside is one of the best apps to earn free gift cards if you drive often and want to save money on gas.
This rewards app pays you with cash back when you fill up at qualifying gas stations in the United States. So, if you spend a lot of money on gas every year, definitely consider giving this app a download.
For example, I received $0.25 per gallon in cashback when I filled up recently and saved $5.
The best thing about Upside is that you’re going to fill up your car with gas anyways. So why not use a rewards app that gives you passive income every time you fill up?
You can cash out once you earn $10, and Upside has a wide variety of gift cards and PayPal money you can redeem.
6. Cash Giraffe
The app is similar to Rewarded Play and pays you to download apps and then play them. And you can cash out once you earn $0.20 with PayPal and $5 for free gift cards.
Like Survey Junkie, AttaPoll pays you with gift cards and cash for answering short surveys. And it only takes $2.50 to redeem many gift cards!
In my experience, AttaPoll surveys can pay anywhere from $0.10 to $1 or $2. So, it’s a nice way to earn quick money without much effort.
You can also earn referral cash bonuses for inviting your friends to join. And the app is available on both Android and iOS devices.
Fetch (or Fetch Rewards) is one of the most popular apps to earn gift cards by saving you money on groceries.
Fetch pays you for buying partners from its partner brands and then taking a photo of your shopping receipt with the app. Overall, it’s a great phone side hustle if you do most of the shopping in your household.
The app partners with hundreds of popular brands, including:
- Sara Lee
You only need $3 to cash out. And Fetch offers dozens of gift cards to retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, CVS, and more.
The website is available if you’re 18 or older and live in the United States. And new members enjoy a $5 bonus once they sign up.
Some of the microtask gigs you can complete for money with this site include:
Free gift cards are redeemable after you earn $15 your first time. Future cash outs only take $10, so you can use sites like InboxDollars to snag a free reward every month without much effort.
10. Capital One Shopping
Capital One Shopping is a shopping browser extension and app that helps you save money when shopping online.
The platform automatically applies available coupon codes at checkout to help you save. And you can also earn credits by shopping at certain partners that are redeemable for free gift cards.
I like using Capital One Shopping since it has plenty of categories, including apparel, home goods, fitness, toys, and travel. And it’s completely free to use, so you’re basically getting free money when you shop.
Note: Capital One Shopping compensates us when you sign up with the provided link.
With Ibotta, you get paid to buy certain products from its brand partners. You then take a photo of your receipt to provide proof of purchase.
Apps like Ibotta are a great way to make money shopping if you’re in charge of your household’s grocery shopping. But it also has partners in categories like electronics, home goods, beauty, apparel, and more.
You can cash out at $20 for various free gift cards and PayPal cash. Overall, Ibotta is one of the highest-paying apps in the reward space, and it adds new offers all the time.
MyPoints is another free gift card app and website you can use that’s similar to Swagbucks and InboxDollars.
The website pays you for completing a variety of gigs, including surveys, shopping offers, scanning barcodes, and playing games.
Like InboxDollars, new members also get an instant sign up bonus of $5. And you can cash out your earnings for over 50 gift cards as well as PayPal money.
Some gift cards start at $5 to $10, and it takes $25 to cash out with PayPal.
This app pays you for your data and helps market researchers understand how people use their phones. All you have to do is download the app and run it in the background to earn.
Once you download MobileXpression, it pays you with weekly credits as long as you have it running. You can then redeem free gift cards every few weeks.
MobileXpression pays around $5 per month in credits. There’s also a $5 sign up bonus after you run the app for a week, so it’s a fun passive side hustle you can try.
14. Ipsos iSay
I used to answer surveys for Ipsos iSay back in late high school when I was trying to make a few bucks per week, and it definitely did the trick!
It’s quite easy to earn $5 per week, and you can earn closer to $10-$15 if you put in a bit more time and effort. And with a $5 cashout minimum, it’s a perfect survey app if you want to earn gift cards easily.
Mistplay is one of my favorite apps to earn gift cards because it pays you for playing new Android games.
It’s similar to apps like Cash Giraffe, and you get paid to download a wide variety of mobile games and to level up in them.
Many gift card rewards start at just $0.50, so it doesn’t take long to cash out. And Mistplay has some of the best game variety out of all the win real money games.
The app recently added PayPal rewards as well, so it’s more versatile than it used to be.
